The Royal Wedding brought everyone together with street parties taking place
all over the country. It’s time to be patriotic and celebrate the Best of British.
Several British events are certainly worthy of commemoration in 2011. These
include:
The fabulous E-type Jag which was launched on 15th March 1961, 50 years
ago. Wimbledon celebrates 125 years of hosting one of the four major tennis
tournaments held annually at SW19. Another very British sporting occasion is
Royal Ascot where thousands of keen race goers enjoy horse racing for a week
in June. It is now celebrating 300 years since Queen Anne held the first races
in 1711. The Beatles were founded in 1961. They started a new era of Popular
Music and still remain extremely popular today with all ages, 50 years on!
